Opening, Editing, Deleting and Refreshing Data

 

Opening & Editing Data

To edit an existing record, first open the tab where the existing record is found. For example, to edit an existing Client record, click the Clients button on the right-side button bar.

The tab opens.

Click the 'Open Record' button on the tab toolbar

The Edit Record screen opens to allow you to make changes to the data.

Edit the record accordingly and click OK to save it. In this case we have changed the Type field from "Home Owner" to "Renter". The tab refreshes and any data visible on the tab displays the latest changes.

 

Deleting Data

To remove a record, select the record you wish to delete to highlight it in its tab view list.

Click the Delete record button on the tab toolbar

The record is deleted from the database and removed from the tab view list.

 

Refreshing Data

If at any time you wish to refresh the data shown on any tab view list, simply click the Refresh button on the tab toolbar

The data is refreshed and should reflect the latest information stored in the system.

 

Please note: While the tab toolbar may differ slightly for each tab, all tabs share the same core set of toolbar buttons and functionality to create, delete, edit, refresh, and print data.
